Ettore Castiglioni:
Considered to be one of the finest Italian mountaineers and awarded the gold medal for Alpine merit, he opened more than 200 routes in the Dolomites and began climbing when he was very young. He also wrote numerous guidebooks for the Italian Alpine Club. We had to dedicate one of our exclusive suites to his legacy in our hotel in Madonna di Campiglio!
